Snowshoeing!

Laura (hiking buddy), Matt (boyfriend), and I all went snowshoeing with our dogs Saturday.

__________Laura________ _________Matt_________

Here are the highlights:

While frolicking about in the snow, Matt fell into a hole. My first response was to take a picture (which turned out to be a rather unpopular response).

While I was messing around with the camera, Laura got down to the serious business of helping Matt out of the hole. She promptly fell in too. At that point I was banned from attending to the camera any longer (which is really unfortunate, because the two of them wedged in that hole together was a pretty funny sight to see).

Matt's leg was wedged in at an unfortunate angle so I helped him first. When he was about half way out (unharmed) his puppy fell in. I *really* wanted to take a picture (her little snout and front paws poking out of the snow and branches were very cute) but it just didn't seem wise.

Eventually everyone was safely extracted from the hole, and as we made our way down the hill toward the trail I was allowed to play with the camera some more.

Near the bottom of the hill Laura was briefly attacked by a pack of vicious dogs. Again, my first response was to take a picture.

Laura managed to get the dogs under control (without my help) and we made it back to the trail where we continued on our merry way.

Your pictures and descriptions really make me want to leave stupid abbreviations and quirky combinations of punctuation in this comment (for example OMG! LOL! smiley winky faces and other random crap like that). I almost succeeded in resisting, but they had to come out in that example. Oh well. ;D

But the beautiful dogs and beautiful and playful people have to be acknowledged also.

Can't get anything posted without claiming anonymity.
