Houses smaller than mine!

I was told that sometime in the 1920s the city government decided to make plots of land available for rent to citizens of Stockholm to grow produce. The man explaining this to me said the reason for this was to "improve the health of the people living there". Many people began growing produce on these small plots, but the produce was frequently stolen, so Stockholm gave permission to build extremely small houses so people could guard their crops. The houses in the picture are two of those houses. Apparently there are still approximately 500 houses like this standing in Stockholm.
