This statue is near our hotel room. I like it a lot. Someone added the red leaf. It works.
Park Benches

I think Matt and I have walked about a thousand miles in the last two weeks. Our feet hurt. Today we found some park benches near a fountain and happily took a moment to put our feet up. In this picture I was laying on a nearby park bench with my head closest to Matt's feet. I held the camera up over my head and pointed it behind me in Matt's general direction--and this photo was the result. I didn't know Matt was reading the guide book until I reviewed my work from my bench. After I took the picture, I napped. It was heavenly.
Poutine at Patati Patata

Tonight Matt and I ate dinner at a super cute little hole in the wall called Patati Patata (on the recommendation of the guidebook Matt was reading on the park bench). Patati Patata is a place that does not inspire heathly eating--we embraced the scene and happily made very poor food choices. Matt ordered (and actually ate) poutine (prounouned poo-teen). Poutine is french fries and cheese curds covered with a brown gravy (pictured above). At one point during dinner I dipped a plain french fry in mayo--and Matt made a face that suggested fries and mayo were kind of a gross combo--which made me laugh a little--seriously--he made that face while sitting in front of a bowl of fries and cheese doused in gravy.
When Matt saw me blogging tonight he suggested I poll our reader(s) with the following question: Which is more disgusting, fries dipped in mayo, or fries and cheese curds swimming in brown gravy? :) We'll understand if the question is just too gross to be answered. :)

They both have a significant gag response in my world, however, even with my intense dislike of mayonnaise (said w/a French accent in honor of your location), I think that Matt's combo of fries, cheese curds and brown gravy wins the most disgusting award.
Oh, yeah, and I LOVE your title.
cheese curds - yes oh yes
french fries - yes oh yes
covered with gravy - are you kidding? Actually - both Pam Shepard and Dixie Harnden like to order fries with brown gravy in the middle of their hot beef sandwichs. For some reason I have never been tempted to try that combination. On the other hand - I used to sometimes mix mayo and ketsup to dip fries in. So I think my past behavior would indicate that fries, cheese curds and brown gravy gets the "dog chow" award. :) And just think about the other things that start with the letter P that your dogs like to eat!!! YUCK
Believe it or not, Matt T. just said, "They look tasty"....
