When I was five years old my mom and I moved to a new city. In the process of moving, I very clearly remember watching my mom and my uncle move a refrigerator. I was in awe, and I remember thinking my mom must truly be the strongest person in the world. Ever. I really didn't think about my uncle's contribution to the amazing-feat-of-strength I had just witnessed. I pretty much gave her credit for the whole thing.
There was an incident during her recent holiday visit that reminded me of the refrigerator feat-of-strength. While I was at work sitting behind a desk, my mom was pulling up some old flooring and she accidentally bent a hammer. A hammer people. Yep, she still has it. :)
